After someone has made contact with us, via facebook messenger we will then establish if they are the owner or a relative or friend helping out the owner of a lost pet.
We provide advice on what to do in the first few hours of animal going missing, the first 12 hours and after 24 hours.
We can assist with the design of posters and where to place them. We also talk to owners about animal behaviour in Survival Mode and the most effective search strategy.
We will ask questions to get a quick overview of the lost pet and how, where and why it is lost. We use a lot of resources and our own experience in helping reunite people’s treasured lost pets. Each owner and pet is unique and every situation will be different, yet at the same time, many things will be similar.
We have a check list of more important and helpful information we will collect so we can tailor what an owner or friend of an owner needs to do next.
We understand an owner will be very concerned about their pet and its difficult to think clearly. That is what we are here to help with. We can give owners advice over the phone and/or via messages.
We reassure owners never to give up and to always have hope. Animals are amazing, and they are survivors. Their instincts never cease to amaze us.
