Helping to reunite lost pets

We had the pleasure of helping with this little lady.

On the 14th Oct 2020 we were contacted through our Facebook page about a lost maltese x shih tzu missing in the Lismore area since the 9th Oct 2020.  With Lismore being a 7-hr drive away, we were trying to figure how we would be
able to participate in the search.

It was decided along with Milly Mooโ€™s owner that we would do a day trip to Coffs Harbour to drop off our Missy Trap and 4G camera.

This would be our first remote case and a very emotional one for me personally. Having our camera there played a very important role in bringing Milly Moo home. Milly’s owner never gave up and showed how important placing posters, doing letterbox drops, feeding and water stations, talking to people and even radio announcements are to finding a beloved lost pet.

With everything she did it got the Lismore community involved and everyone looked out for this little girl.

There were sightings and sometimes none, then the storms came and for a week they had bad weather. Thankfully, the sightings started again. Milly was travelling, making it difficult to track until she was spotted in someoneโ€™s backyard, when they came back from holiday. She was asleep on their daybed. The sight of the family coming home made Milly run again. After the sighting was reported we then knew the area she was in but still, it was a waiting game.

With cameras placed around the area just waiting for that one picture
and it happened at 12:44AM on 4 th Nov 2020. There she was, just strolling by.

A stakeout was set for that night and she was spotted at 10:44PM in the rear-view mirror of another Lismore local helping with the search. It was a long wait for Millyโ€™s mum just sitting and waiting for her girl. She finally decided to go for a walk to see if she could spot her. After hearing noises she sat on the ground and in a soft tone spoke to Milly. Milly hesitated at first, zig-zagging her way over. As she got closer, she recognised her mum,
walked up and licked her on the chin.

We saw Mum go past us on the camera holding something in her arms and a few minutes later we knew it was Milly.
Her adventure was over.

Facebook post from Jo:-
We had the absolute pleasure in helping with the search of this Beautiful girl and today meeting her bought me to tears. Seeing the huge smile when Milly’s mum got out of the car showed how much she loves her girl. These two are such a special gift to each other and it is so warming to see. Milly Thank you for all the kisses and your pocket money will help in finding lost and adventures souls and returning them to there loving owners arms. You both will always be in our hearts.๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿพ
